About me
Hi! I’m Reva, a lifelong swimmer with a passion for storytelling and history. I’m completely fascinated with historic pools! When I’m not doing my day job, I’m either swimming laps, driving my kids to practices, or standing on a pool deck, helping little mermaids and merboys on my daughter’s artistic swimming team.
Although I’ve always loved the water, our move to Williamsburg, Virginia, inspired my interest in learning from and honoring our past. Our daily walks or runs feature touching the gate of a reconstructed Colonial Capitol building, empowering my desire for preservation of our historic treasures.
Then, in 2015, I stayed at an 86-year-old hotel with the most beautiful set of pools I had ever seen, and I was hooked. I began to seek out other historic pools, to “swim”-merse myself in their stories. I’ve visited more than twenty of them. In this blog, I’ll share these journeys with you, and hopefully, you’ll love them as I do.
